Mikaela and Shawn Anniversary Session

There’s something so joyful about a one-year anniversary session—especially when the couple is as fun, playful, and full of love as Mikaela and Shawn. From the moment we started shooting, we had a blast and you could feel their love for each other. And to make it even better? They brought their sweet pup along to celebrate with them!

In Spokane you never know what you are going to get in April. We lucked out with the most gorgeous weather. The sun showed up just in time to give us that golden glow, and the location was absolutely stunning.

Watching Mikaela and Shawn interact was such a treat. They laughed easily, snuggled up without hesitation, and weren’t afraid to just be themselves. And their dog? Total star of the show. They brought along a friend to help wrangle. I always suggest this because even though we all love our furry friends we don’t need them in 100% of the photos. Having someone help makes it that much easier for all of us and more photos for you!

Anniversary sessions are such a beautiful way to reflect on your journey, and this one was filled with so much warmth and light—literally and figuratively. One year down, and so many adventures still to come!
