There’s something truly special about spring in Spokane—especially when the lilacs are in full bloom. We recently had the joy of photographing an extended family session at Manito Park, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The lilac gardens created a stunning, fragrant backdrop, and the mix of vibrant colors and soft light brought this whole session to life.
Extended family sessions always hold a unique kind of magic. There’s laughter, a little chaos (especially with younger kids involved!), and moments that only happen when generations come together. It was a beautiful reminder of why these moments matter so much.
Spring can be a bit unpredictable when it comes to weather, but that’s also what makes it so wonderful. On this day, the temperature was just right—not too hot, not too chilly. The blooming trees, fresh greenery, and cloud cover gave us the perfect setting for photos!
If you’ve never considered a spring session before, let this be your sign. It’s one of the most underrated seasons for photos, especially with so many wonderful parks in Spokane.
We’re so grateful to this amazing family for inviting us to capture their memories. Sessions like this remind us why we love what we do—freezing these little slices of joy, togetherness, and legacy in time.
Thinking about an extended family session of your own? Spring and early summer dates are filling up fast—reach out and let’s make it happen!
